Excerpt from the London Business Support Network E-Newsletter March 2007
Welcome to the London Business Support Network E-Newsletter March 2007
At the end of next week, 30 March 2007, BL4L's role in facilitating the LBSN will come to an end. As a result, this will be the last LBSN e-newsletter you will receive from this source.
The future of the LBSN is now very uncertain, as the London Development Agency have declined to offer future financial support, and its continuance was not part of the new IDB contract.
On the 31st March the Knowledge Centre will close down. Its contents, as well as the Membership database held by BL4L, will not be transferred to either a future LBSN body or its current "host" organisation, Capital Enterprise.
The LBSN Steering Group hope that ways will be found to continue some aspects of the LBSN and it has asked Capital Enterprise to act as the holding organisation for the foreseeable future. Any enquiries you may have should be addressed to them.
Customer First is an independent organisation and will continue to operate as normal, available to take organisations through the process of commitment and assessment and, for those who have already achieved the Customer First standard, the renewal process at the appropriate time. Any Customer First related enquiries should be addressed to them http://www.customerfirst.org/.
The Steering Group will not continue in its formal role beyond 31st March. Any LBSN members wishing to contact Steering Group members should enquire via Capital Enterprise.
The Steering Group would like to offer its best wishes to the LDA and all business support organisations in their development of business support services in the future and hopes that they will build upon the successes of the LBSN over the past 6 years.
Many thanks for your support.
