Cancer Tech Accelerator, our programme for research teams working to revolutionise the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer, has been extended for another year thanks to funding from Cancer Research UK, Cancer Research Horizons, The Brain Tumour Charity, Blood Cancer UK, LifeArc and HGF with support from Roche.

From the start, Cancer Tech Accelerator’s mission has been to foster innovation in the field of oncology. With two cohorts delivered and many participants going onto raise significant rounds and develop important industry collaborations, it’s clear there is tremendous interest from innovators, investors and the cancer research community in further developing this approach.

From the five-day Bootcamp for cancer researchers to the comprehensive three-month Phase I and Phase II of the accelerator, Cancer Tech Accelerator is committed to supporting academic innovators to spin out their research and make a difference in the lives of cancer patients. By directly awarding funding, Cancer Tech Accelerator plays a critical role in helping these teams build capacity towards spinning out and going on to fundraise successfully.

Applications for the next Cancer Tech Accelerator cohort are now open. Whether you have a nascent idea or are already actively working on a project, we are here to help you bring it to fruition. The deadline to apply is the 16th of February 2024. We are also happy to have a confidential chat about your project and whether it would be a good fit.

Thanks to our partners Cancer Research UK, Cancer Research Horizons, The Brain Tumour Charity, Blood Cancer UK, LifeArc and HGF with support from Roche for making possible a third cohort of Cancer Tech Accelerator.

We look forward to getting started with the 2024 cohort.
